One recurring theme through Mary Allison Wright’s life is her infatuation with eating and drinking. Mary began her professional life in the music industry, attributed to her love of music and touring with bands, but found herself gravitating to the culinary world after several trips to Denver in 2011 and witnessing its burgeoning food and drink scene. After moving to Denver, she pivoted and joined the hospitality world, focusing on wine and front-of-house operations. Mary is currently the co-owner of Yacht Club, which is a 2022 Top 4 Finalist for “Best New US Cocktail Bar” at the Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards; the co-owner of Door Prize, a meat & three pop-up concept; and a facilitator at Jelly Bone, a hospitality consulting agency. While each has its own identity, a common influence throughout is her commitment to genuine hospitality, natural wine, and accessibility to a good time.
